Abstract:

Synthetic - aperture radar (SAR) is used to generate maps of surface deformation or digital elevation model. However, those signals are not stable, so the resulting SAR image is often affected by speckle noise, this problem makes it difficult to automatically find and match pixels. Therefore, there is a need of applying an algorithm in processing SAR signals for easily identifying matching points. The wavelet transformation is an efficient function that can be applied in this circumstance.Applying this transformation in the correlation function, can determine low frequency waves, and components of variability that hided in the signals. Then, it is much easier to identify optimal window sizes for matching points for SAR coregistration procedure. This transformation method was proposed in this paper and applied for a pair of SAR images of Quang Ning, acquired on May 14 and May 26, 2017
