Abstract:

Seismic tomography has been widely used in civil engineering, test the concrete dams, bridges and other civil constructions; monitoring the progress of a steam-flood enhanced oil recovery, monitoring mine safety during works, studies of hydrological and environmental geology around the world. However, in Vietnam, this method had just obtained some initial results in recent years, mainly based on the experiences .In the results, we must study focus on seismic tomography urgently and scientifically. The authors introduce the theoretical basis with transform method of the seismic ray tomography, Kaczmarz mathematical algorithm SIRT method- simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique to get a elastic velocity model of studied projects; finally application of the method “seismic tomography” to evaluate quality of the dam belonging to the hydroelectric power plant Song Bung – Quang Nam
