Abstract:
There have been many studies on the displacement and deformation of rocks due to underground mining. However, there has been no result representing the function of curvature for the Quang Ninh coal basin with its geological conditions, the depth of workings, and exploitation technology. In this study, the field observation data of Mong Duong and Mao Khe mines was processed to identify movement and deformation parameters, before creating curvature functions such as S(z), S’(z), S”(z), F(z), and F’(z) for the two mines. These functions can be applied to other mining areas and to predict surface movement and deformation due to underground mining
