Abstract:
The Pha Khieng - Nam Bo, a volcanic arc, is located in Sukhothai Arc terrane. Volcanism has facilitated mineralization in Pha Khieng - Nam Bo. The research area is an epithermal deposit, characterized by wall rock alteration, from non-altered to strong altered. Towards, in mineral resources exploration, the study of wall rock alteration is important. There are two alteration types in Pha Khieng - Nam Bo area such as propylitic alteration and phylic alteration. There are two mineralized structures in Pha Khieng - Nam Bo: epithermal breccia and mineral precipitate in share zone or shear containing of ore. Phylic alteration can be found around ore body and epithermal breccia of Mo-Pb-Au-AgCu. Propylitic alteration commonly sought around shear containing of ore Cu-PbMo.
