Abstract:

The paper presents the results of research project and assessment impacts of climate change on the balance (Yo) of groundwater, groundwater module (Mo) and natural groundwater reserve (Qe). The study identified groundwater parameters: Yo, Mo and Qe in the baseline time (2011- 2014) of the study area. Based on the evolution of groundwater parameters with time, we determine the correlation equations between the Yo, Mo with rainfall factors and evaporation quantity extracted from climate change scenario. Using the correlated equations, the groundwater parameters Yo, Mo, and Qe of period from 2020 to 2100 are calculated. From the diferrence between the varials of Yo, Mo and Qe of the baseline period (2011-2014) and forecast period (2020-2100) showing the effected of climate change on grounwater flow. The results of the study for the Central Coast (from Da Nang to Phu Yen) showing that the Yo, Mo and Qe capacity of the two aquifers Holocene (qh) and Pleistocene (qp) are affected by climate change. Flow rate Yo in rainy season and dry season of the aquifer qh and qp are decrease by 2100 but higher from 0.91 to 1.37%, or 1.22 to 1.68%, or 0.2-0.69% compared to the baseline period. Mo module in the rainy season and dry season of the aquifer qh and qp is expected to change from 0.86 to 1.08% by the year 2100, highest 0.91 to 1.32%, Lowest 0.77-0.81% compared to the baseline period. Qe of the qh and qp decline by 2100, but increase from 0.91 to 1.24% in the dry season and from 1.33 to 1.51% or 0.51-0.7% when compared to the base period.
