Abstract:
Mine ventilation requires a lot of power consumption. In Quang Ninh coal mines, the electric drives of the main fans have a capacity from hundreds to thousands of kW and operates around the clock. The required air flow for mine ventilation depends on many production factors and organization of work in mine. Nevertheless, with existing mine ventilation equipment in our country, the fans generate the greatest air flow calculated in the document. This result in high energy costs for the fan drive. The article consider determining the maintenance of air flow rates in accordance with the actual requirements of mine ventilation network. To save energy, it is necessary to select a plan for setting the operating mode in accordance with the actual air needs of consumers in particular and the entire mine as a whole. The use of an inverter to change the speed of fan motor has brought high efficiency to reduce electricity in the general mine ventilation, and also contributed to a decrease in mining cost in Quang Ninh coal mine
