Abstract:

Conductivity-depth processing is such an effective method to improve resolution and locality for transient electromagnetic (TEM) data. Its applications on theoretical models led to some impressive results. With several 1D models, we derived TEM data from forward problems and then put it into conductivity-depth processing. Anomalies, after the processing, showed precise position of conductive ore-bodies with depth. By changing theoretical models, several parameters affecting k factor in investigation depth fomula has been shown. The results also provided the value range of k factor. This is the base of applying conductivity-depth processing for practical trasient electromagnetic data
