Abstract:
Ca Ngu Vang fractured granitic basement reservoir consists of at least two porosity-permeability system that could be modeled by classifying of fractured zones based on the proportion of micro fracture and macro fracture. It's indicated by: (i) The results of core analysis from wells of neighbour field as BachHo basement reservoir; (ii) The DST analysis results of CaVang wells. In Vietnam, the operators have been used single porosity model to simulate production performance in fractured basement reservoirs. However, well behavior shows difficulties in production prediction that usually leading to overestimation. Many operators have had researches, development and building difference modeling method, even with dual porosity model. Although there are several innovative ideas, but still lacks appropriate model for forecasting and evaluating. In fact, the single porosity model behavior could not capture production data, especially water-breakthrough and production forecast. Therefore, the second concept of dual porosity model was used for modeling Ca Ngu Vang fractured basement reservoir. This paper is focused on the modeling methodology for setting up reliable flow model of heterogeneous fractured granitic basement reservoir with inteagrated data.
