Abstract:
Effect of temperature and pressure on the hydration evolution and mechanical properties of well cement is investigated by the theoretical and experimental aspects. The model publiced was mainly based on the theorie of nucleation and growth on the surface, was developed initially by Cahn. So the paper proposes a semi-empirical model for the development of cement taking into account the effect of temperature and pressure. This model allows evaluating hydration degree and mechanical properties of cement at any time from the dormant phase to the stable phase. This model is simple and very practical in petroleum industry.
