Abstract:

The prediction of sand/shale distribution plays an important role in evaluation of reservoir characteristics, especially where sand bodies continuosly vary in both width and thickness such as for the Nam Can field (Block 46, Malay Tho Chu basin). In this paper, seismic attributes are studied and some amplitude attributes are chosen to apply further. Base on the integrated interpretation of well data and seismic attributes the reservoir distribution (netsand) map is high precisely created to add new wells in the field for infill drilling
