Abstract:

Automatic image thresholding algorithms are used to extract the object from the background in an input image is one of the most common applications in image analysis. Specially, the algorithms are applied for segmenting oil spills in SAR images. In this article, the authors present the Huang, the Otsu and the Minimum algorithm and the experimental results by ALOS PALSAR. According to the results, the authors to choose an optimal algorithm for extracting the almost oil spills in SAR images.
