Abstract:

Continuously Operating Reference Station CORS has been popularly used in many countries, and provedits strong efficiency in mapping. However, as that this method is newly introduced in Vietnam, there still exit many restrictions in applying CORS in large-scaled mapping. To extend the application, we established a coordinate network with 10 points: KH-1, KH-2, KH-3, KH-4, KH-5, KH-6, KH-7, KH-8, KH-9, KH-10, with the same accuracy as of level IV national network to compare with the results obtained by CORS method. The results show that the errors between the plane coordinates measured by static GPS and CORS station methods are insignificant: ????? = 0,044 m, ????? = 0,004 m. This confirms that single CORS stations set up in Hanoi University of Mining and Geology could be practically employed for cadastral mapping at scales larger than 1/500 with the distances between CORS stations and measured points of less than 7,5 km.
