Abstract:

Together with paraffin deposition, scale deposition in the production tubing and surface equipment system has a significant effect on the production efficiency and longevity of facilities. This phenomenon was detected early in 2006 at block PM3 - CAA, especially in gaslift valves. Since 2008, a series of possible solutions have been worked out to eliminate scale deposits for production wells at block PM3 - CAA. However, redepostion appeared at most of the treated wells after some time and some production wells have no productions after processing. This leads to an increase in cost of the productions. Scale treatment methods include both chemical and mechanical techniques. Chemical scale treatment is more popular because of its lower cost, easier usage and its ability to adapt for requirements of production activities. The paper presents some solutions to improve the efficiency of scale deposition treatment in the production tubing and surface equipment based on the analysis of documents and the process of scale deposition treatment at Vietsovpetro’s oil fields. Results of the research recommend scale inhibitor Disolvine E - 39 to serve for the aim of eliminating scale deposition in the production system at the block PM3 - CAA.
