Abstract:

Gas hydrate is the potential source of energy. According to the statistics, the hydrocarbon reserve in the gas hydrate reaches to 2,1.1016m3. Because of the gas hydrate formation is under high pressure and low temperature, 98% of gas hydrate is located beneath continental shelf and lake, the other 2% in the sub-permafrost locations on land. Canada is considering as the country having largest hydrate reserve in the world. Black Sea and Baikal lake are also considered as high potential of gas hydrate reserve
